Grand Junction, CO - A dozen D51 students submitted entries for our inaugural Rube Goldberg competition! A Rube Goldberg machine is a feat of engineering and an entertaining visual delight that relies on a chain reaction to complete a final task. The winners of this year's contest - along with links to videos of their contraptions - are listed below.

D51 STEM will be in touch with the teachers of the first place students to discuss prizes and photo ops.
The competition is sponsored by the D51 Foundation. The competition was judged by a panel of engineering students at CMU - members of the Mesa Motorsports team. They were very thorough in there analysis and scoring.
Regardless of who won or lost, we hope this competition has sparked the student's imagination and drive to create and problem solve.
