Hispanic Heritage Month
Here in D51, we are proud to celebrate the social, cultural and historical contributions of the Hispanic and Latin American Community with our students and our community. Inspired by our own students and the dedicated wisdom of our diverse community members, we are committed to ensuring that we are providing an improved culturally responsive educational experience to the youth of Mesa County. On this section of our website, we will be featuring digital media that contains a variety of formats including: inspirational messages and words of encouragement from a wide range of Hispanic and Latin American community leaders; Expressions of art in a variety of formats including comedy, musical, & visual that highlights the Hispanic and Latin American culture; and a list of activities that educators and community members can use to deepen their understanding about the multiple layers that exist in the Hispanic and Latin American culture. Please enjoy these resources and have fun celebrating with us!
