Grand Junction, CO - Congratulations to this year's Seal of Biliteracy earners, who were honored in three ceremonies this week!

The Seal of Biliteracy was introduced in School District 51 five years ago as a way for 5th-, 8th-, and 12th-graders to demonstrate age-appropriate proficiency in English and at least one other language (Spanish, German, or French). The seal encourages multiculturalism and is an appealing credential for colleges, employers, and scholarship programs.

The 5th-grade ceremony took place Monday, May 10, and the 8th-grade ceremony and 12th-grade ceremony took place May 12 and May 13, respectively.
