Grand Junction, CO - The Grand Junction High School Academic Team just added another trophy to their collection, placing first in Class 4A at the State Knowledge Bowl Championship!
The Tigers placed first in the 4A State Knowledge Bowl Championship March 14-15. While they've competed in Class 5A in the past, this 4A win counts as their 23rd overall state classification title. GJHS has won a state title in its class nearly every year that the Tigers have competed.
The team, led by coach Coady Shawcroft, consists of students Brady Ancell, Cailan McKim, Alexander Chang, Jake Peltier, Sam Guddat, Ashley Guddat, Asher Goldberg, Able Martinez, Makayla Mai Dao, Athena Quesenberry, Megan TerLouw, Isenia Fregaso, Jamison Whiteford, Max Wilson, and Ethan Crawford.
The team competed virtually this year, setting up shop in the Grand Junction Police Department conference room. Thank you to GJPD for providing space for another winning tournament!
