Mill Levy Override Funds and Expenditures

On November 7, 2017 a mill levy override measure was passed by Mesa County voters that raises property taxes within D51 boundaries by $6.5 million annually for 10 years, specifically for the following purposes:

  • Adding 5 additional student contact days in the school calendar starting in 2018-19

  • Updating instructional materials and educator training

  • Helping extend the life of buildings with funding for Priority 2 and 3 maintenance

  • Adding additional positions in technology support
