Seal of Biliteracy

District 51 awards a Seal of Biliteracy in recognition of a student who has attained proficiency in English and one or more other world languages (Spanish, French, or German). The Seal serves to certify attainment of biliteracy for students, employers, and universities and is a statement of accomplishment. Students may obtain recognition in fifth, eighth, and twelfth grades
